When my baby gets a rash

Supporting a bumpy bub

· Using Essential Oils,Life Experiences

So you may or may jot be reading on from my last blog (click here to read) ... My 11 month old had a raging fever for a few days. His only complaint and then gone... The next day we notice a rash appearing around his neck...

Sigh...

What follows is the list of things we tried as we scrambled to diagnose, ease bubs symptoms and support his body...

Is that chicken pox?

He's been pretty cranky and clingy but is back wanting real food and drink again, not just breastmilk. It's been busy to say the least. I need to keep track of what blends I'm using so that I remember!
At first the spots looked like chicken pox which didn't worry me too much because we've dealt with those before.

Is that measles?

The next morning bub is acting the same, times of being happy, times of being fussy... But the rash has been coming up more so looking less like chicken pox and not something I'm familiar with. A friend mentioned Measles which freaked me right out ...So for now I've continued supporting his symptoms in consultation with my trusted health professional until we can get a diagnosis.

It's Roseola!

We got that appointment and diagnosis from our health care professional - gaining a sigh of relief and confirmation it's Roseola. Apparently a really common viral childhood illness for under 5's ... And he was already likely through the worst of it.

The rash was already subsiding and everything felt much calmer armed with this knowledge.

That evening I felt like we needed a detox from the day (and my ears were feeling a bit gluggy),so this was my selection.

Blasted this superpower blend the next day as our final farewell to the saga ... and prepared to face the neglected washing pile...
